Performance has many purposes: engagement, emotion, reconsideration, release, celebration, challenge, and more.
Too often we live in the world of stories that skip the times that
surround us…or that try to escape the presence of now.

“Questions are the beginning, creative flow is the genesis, agreed upon systems build the process, and excellence shapes the final outcome.

In working with collaborators, new projects, students, companies, or institutions, the first step is the field of open questions. What is unknown or undiscovered is the basis for moving forward and finding new lines of creation – no matter what the style or genre.

Creative flow allows for expansion and unusual outcomes shaped by individuals, moments, and release. Everyone’s flow is shaped by moments, experience, exposure, training, and the willingness to use the known and unknown.

Excellence – however it is defined or exemplified – becomes the shaping quantifier that propels the work. Knowing the goal within the parameters can push the creative line forward.
